Rapid City Beach and Playground Improvements Survey

The RM of Oakview was successful in obtaining a Building Sustainable Communities Grant for the Rapid City Beach and Playground improvements. The total estimated project cost is $100,000.00.  This is a 50/50 grant. With $50,000.00 coming from the Provincial Grant and $50,000.00 the municipality. The municipal portion will be covered by a private donation which was received in 2021 and set aside by Council for this project.

Although it may not be feasible to complete all items included in the application the following were items for consideration; accessibility path to the beach area, sunshades, improvements to the pavilion, playground additions / improvements and a possible pickleball court.

The council of the RM of Oakview is requesting your assistance as the plan  is finalized for construction in 2024.  This information will also be used to inform the Municipal Strategic Plan for future planning and funding requirements.
