CLACK FAMILY HERITAGE MUSEUM
Preserving the Past, Connecting Generations!
Clack brothers, Doug, Tim and Fred Clack, created and started the Clack Family Heritage Museum. The brothers lived and farmed in the former RM of Blanshard for many years. It began with a love for a good auction and collecting. In 1983 the first steel shed (30’ X 60’) was constructed. It has grown over the years to a total of 20 museum buildings. Each brother had his own particular interest, and the Museum’s huge collection of pioneer artifacts and incredibly beautiful and valuable antiques are housed in a series of specialized theme buildings.
In 1996, Tim Clack, who was the only living brother, turned their collection over to the Clack Family Heritage Museum Foundation Inc., as he felt he needed some help in the running and upkeep of the Museum. A volunteer board helps maintain the operation of the Museum so that it will always serve as a center for the preservation of historical artifacts and Canadian culture. Tim remained as a chairman of the board until his death in 2014, and today the volunteer board has twelve members.
